LYNCHBURG, VA (Feb. 15, 2021) CloudFit Software, LLC announced Tom Sampson as a new hire to fill the Vice President for Federal and Regulated Industries role. He will be dedicated to servicing DoD, Federal government, and regulated industry customers as a well as continuing the growth trajectory for the company into the future.
Sampson has 22 years of leadership in Navy active and reserve service and 15 years of IT implementation, delivery, account, and executive experience. His career of leadership, innovation, organizational change and IT excellence has supported customers in DoD, Federal, regulated, commercial, and retail sectors.

Previously Sampson was the Chief Information Officer of the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), the largest defense acquisition program in history. During his tenure he restructured the information systems program, implemented the government managed air system software development environment, and reduced overall operating costs year-over-year. His civilian career prior to the JPO includes IT consulting, B2B, B2C, Digital Marketing, and digital retail consulting for fortune 50 and 100 companies in the healthcare, finance, retail, and education industries. Before his civilian career he was a Naval Aircrewman on the P-3C and a Naval Aviator flying the SH-60B Seahawk. He deployed multiple times around the world and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sampson earned a BA degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, an MS in ITM Management from the American University in Washington, D.C., and an MBA also from the American University in Washington, D.C. He also held the position of Adjunct Professor of Project of Program Management in the McDonough School of Business at the Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois and has several awards and published credentials.
